Extrim House

We constructed a big (almost 300 m2) straw bale house in Minsk and one of the neighbours was following the process very sceptically with a smile - he is a professional construction engineer. But once we had finished he asked us to construct a wet sauna with pool, and living appartments on first floor, in straw bale.
The challenge was the cold climate (down to -35 C), having moisture inside the building from the pool and the wet sauna. But the building is still there 4 years down the road with no problem showing at all.

Post & beam structure, SB infill, lime-cement stucco on net outside, gipsum-carton + wood inside.

Drill-hols with concret infilling 1,2 m, diameter 200mm, each 2 m.
