Civil disturbance package opens door to deportations
26. nov. 2009 09.22 EnglishThe so-called "civil disturbance package", expected to be passed some time Thursday, is being sold as a measure to prevent "climate louts" coming to Denmark with the express intention of making trouble.
But if it were up to the government and Dansk Folkeparti, the package will be followed later this year by markedly increased provisions for deporting persons not of Danish nationality - regardless of how long they have resided in Denmark.
This can be gleaned from the Accord on Foreigners, entered by Venstre, Konservative, and Dansk Folkeparti during the national budget negotiations on November 6th, according to daily newspaper Information.
