DKK 400 million for scrapping of oil furnaces
01. mar. 2010 13.25 EnglishThe 2010 national budget set aside DKK 400 million for homeowners who want to make the change to a more environmentally friendly way of heating their house. And interest in the funds is high, says Lasse Kenborg, project worker in the Danish Energy Agency.
- Since January 4th, I have received 500 emails, and we have had three employees answering phones, so there's a lot of interest in the scheme, he tells daily newspaper Frederiksborg Amts Avis.
Homeowners can get subsidies of between DKK 10,000 and DKK 25,000 if they scrap an oil furnace and replace it with either a ground-source heat pump, a heat pump, or a solar heating system combined with a new furnace, or join a district heating system.
