Funen killing may be gang-related
10. mar. 2010 14.35 EnglishThe killing of a 36-year old man at the Havhesten bar in Odense might have its roots in a gangland conflict, according to the Funen police.
- That is one of our theories for the investigation, Deputy Chief Superintendent Albert Rasmussen tells DR News.
The new direction to the investigation is motivated by testimony from witnesses outside the bar. The killers, who fired shots through the bar windows, are reported to be between the ages of 15 and 20. They were wearing a white and a dark hooded sweat shirt respectively, and fled the scene on a motor scooter, possibly of the Yamaha brand.
The 36-year old bar patron who was killed may have been a random victim, according to the police.
Lately, there have been several incidents in Odense thought to be related to the ongoing gang conflict between Hells Angels and young Arab-Danes from Odense suburb Vollsmose.
The Funen police would like to hear from witnesses who have seen the two shooters.
