Plans for abduction of Bulgarian in Denmark

In 1969, the unit - the "7th department" - attempted to abduct a Bulgarian citizen residing in Denmark, a Bulgarian reporter tells news agency Ritzau's Bureau.
The intended victim was a Bulgarian dissident, Aleksandr Ilijev. A total of five Bulgarian agents took part in plotting the abduction. Several of them travelled to Denmark, but Ilijev was extremely cautious, and the attempt failed.
