Property registration chaos was anticipated
03. sep. 2010 11.45 EnglishA document which has recently come to light reveals that the National Courts Administration was well aware that the implementation of the new digital property registration system could mean longer processing times for deeds of conveyance.
Just five days before the digital property registration system was launched under much ado last year, the administration estimated the risk of increased processing times at 50 percent, according to a project risk assessment list which associate professor Erik Frøkær from the Department of Computer Science has gained access to under the Access to Public Administration Files Act.
Risks were well known
- I am able to document that practical difficulties were not only anticipated. The problems which turned out to be fatal were assessed to be among the top three risks before the launch, writes Erik Frøkjær in engineering newspaper Nyhedsmagasinet Ingeniøren.
