Round-the-clock protection for Hedegaard
11. feb. 2013 13.11 EnglishSince last week’s attempt to assassinate him, Lars Hedegaard has been living in a safe house in the care of the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET).
From this secret location, Hedegaard has told DR News that he is now preparing for PET to become a permanent part of his life; like other critics of Islam, it appears that he will need to be under round-the-clock protection.
“I know Kurt Westergaard very well. I know Pia Kjærsgaard, Naser Khader, Lars Vilks, and Geert Wilders, too. I think I know virtually everyone who’s living under police protection. What am I supposed to think? That’s just the way things are today. You can’t do anything about it, so you have to adapt to what’s necessary,” said Hedegaard.
