1st Concertmaster of the 2nd violin section
Audition for a number of invited applicants:
Sunday 21st of April 2013, from 10.00 a.m.
Deadline: Thursday 21st March 2013, at 12:00 p.m.
Compulsory repertoire:
Round 1:
Mozart: From Violin Concerto No. 3, 4 or 5: 1st with cadenza and
one of following Bach movements:
Siciliana, from Violin Sonata No.1 in G minor, BWV 1001
Andante, from Violin Sonata No.2 in A minor, BWV 1003
Sarabanda, from Violin Partita No.2 in D minor, BWV 1004
Loure, from Violin Partita No.3 in E major, BWV 1006
-plus orchestral excerpts.
Round 2:
Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius or Carl Nielsen:
From Violin Concertos: 1st movement with cadenza plus orchestral excerpts.
Round 3:
String Quartet (as leader) and group rehearsal: Beethoven:
1st movement of opus 18 No. 2 in G-major.1st Violin.
Plus orchestral excerpts.

Conditions of employment will be in accordance with the collective agreement between Danish Musicians Union and DR. The engagement will only be made permanent after a probationary period. The offer of employment is subject to confirmation of a residence and work permit in Denmark.
Salary: 418.000 - 505.400 DKK per year (without pension).
The winning candidate will have a Testore A. Violin from 1732, belonging to The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, at their disposal for the duration of their employment.

The Danish National Symphony Orchestra is the largest symphony orchestra in Denmark (99 musicians). The main activities of the orchestra include public symphonic concerts, studio productions, CD-recordings and concert tours in Denmark as well as abroad.
