Swimming is Fun consists of four short episodes and forms part of a series with Skiing is Fun and Football is Fun. It provides facts and entertainment; we follow a little girl as she learns how to swim. The class members practice putting their heads underwater, jumping in from the edge of the pool, diving, and swimming. The series follow the children as they do various exercises in the water. Each programme looks at what's easy and what's difficult when you have to do one of the exercises for the first time, such as holding your breath until you reach the surface.
