Cop 15 - the climate game and the world´s poor
COP 15 was the most ambitious climate summit ever held. In spite of the good intentions, the outcome did not meet the World's expectations.
COP15, held in Copenhagen, would have been a success had it not been for the lack of will to push through the objectives of the summit. The outcome left the climate debate in a status quo, where the industrialized countries concluded a deal without the rest of the world.
This documentary takes us through the days of the summit, following participants from some of the country's most vulnerable to climate change. It gives an insight into the complicated game of climate negotiations, and shows the frustration of the poorer countries, who were left out, as the powerful players desperately tried to seal a deal.
It serves as a reminder when the World's countries gather at COP16 in Cancun, Mexico. Are world leaders willing to make up for past mistakes?
