The Seeds offers an intimate look into family life - uncovering intimate matters few would wish disclosed. It is a film with real people telling a real story.

In a secluded place in Siberia on the border to Kazakhstan, lives a family bound together by a tragedy that took place in the past. The father, mother and children share the same history, yet they are neither able to talk about it, nor are they able to try and adapt their life to new circumstances. Each member is haunted by their own secrets. The family is faced with obstacles such as emotional and geographical disconnectedness which hinders their ability to overcome the trauma that characterises their everyday lives. Lives that are influenced by violence, silence and frustration.
