Sinan is a young, restless second-generation immigrant. Customary to his culture, his family finds him a bride, the beautiful Gül. It was also decided long ago that Sinan is to inherit and manage the family restaurant after his father. But Sinan puts his foot down, well aware that in his culture he could be killed for less.

The film is the first part of a trilogy; the second part, Pizza King, was released in 1999.
